About Claire

Claire edits the Calsa blog. Most of what she writes starts with a question someone asked in their first weeks of tracking food: how much rice actually fits in a cup, whether cooking oil needs logging, what to do after a weekend off.

Her rule is simple. Each number in a guide links to where it came from, usually USDA FoodData Central or a published study, and the advice should be usable the same day by someone with no nutrition background. She doesn't write diets that promise a date or a dress size.

The guides show where each number comes from. In Calsa you log a meal by photo, voice or barcode, check the grams, and every calorie shows its source.
