Calories in everyday food

A medium banana is about 105 calories. A large egg, about 72. A 100 g piece of cooked chicken breast, about 165. Figures like these come from public databases such as USDA FoodData Central, and they move with size, ripeness and cooking.

You get the number per portion and per 100 grams, so it matches whatever is actually on your plate. Calsa works the same way: you confirm the grams, and the calories come from the database instead of a guess.

The guides show where each number comes from. In Calsa you log a meal by photo, voice or barcode, check the grams, and every calorie shows its source.
