My recipe weighs less after cooking. How do I log my portion?
Enter the ingredient amounts with their correct raw or cooked states, then enter the whole finished dish's weight. Your portion is calculated as its share of that finished weight, using the ingredient totals.
For example, a portion that weighs a quarter of the cooked dish gets a quarter of the recipe's calories. Water loss changes the finished weight, not the recipe's ingredients automatically. Weigh the food without its container and enter the amount you actually serve. Do not use an arbitrary cooking-loss percentage in place of the finished weight.
