How accurate are photo estimates and calorie totals?
A photo helps identify foods and estimate their amounts. It cannot reliably show hidden oil, ingredients under sauce or the weight of a deep portion. Calsa does not publish a blanket accuracy percentage without a published measurement.
Before saving, check food names, replace wrong matches, add anything missing and enter weighed amounts when you have them. Calories come from those food records and amounts. Confirming grams means you checked the portion. It does not prove an unknown recipe. You can inspect the food source and report values that disagree with a label.
