Where do the calories come from?

Calsa calculates food values from the selected database record and the amount you enter. Its sources include USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts, CoFID, the Canadian Nutrient File and FSANZ, with published restaurant data where available.

Open the source for a food to see what its number is based on and the source release. AI proposes foods and amounts. It does not supply calorie values. For your own food, the values come from the label or numbers you entered, so check those before saving.
