Does a blank nutrient value mean zero?

A blank or “no data” value means the source does not provide that nutrient. It does not mean the food contains zero. Calsa keeps that distinction instead of filling missing values with zero.

A daily nutrient total is marked when some entries lack data, so treat it as incomplete. Published restaurant dishes can have calories without every macro value. For a package, you can create a private food with the label's actual values. Do not guess a missing nutrient just to make the total look complete.
