What can I do when photo recognition is unavailable?

You can still log with search, barcode, quick add, repeat meals and your own foods when photo recognition is unavailable. These routes do not depend on AI or the recognition allowance. Save a photo draft if you want to return to it later.

Check whether the problem is connection, permission, disabled AI or the shared daily recognition limit. Failed recognition does not consume that allowance. If a photo remains pending, keep it on the device and do not reinstall to retry it. Contact support with the state shown if recognition remains unavailable unexpectedly.
