How do I find the right food when several results look similar?
Choose the entry that matches what you ate, not just the first similar name. Check raw or cooked state and preparation method for generic foods. For packaged foods, check the brand, country, label and serving. Restaurant dishes should match the chain and size.
Search can put your frequently used foods near the top for that meal, but you still need to check the match and grams. Open the source when two choices differ. If you cannot find a matching packaged product, create a private food from its label rather than using a clearly different product.
