Goals and progress
Understand your target, weight trend and the choices you can change.
- Where does my calorie goal come from?Your starting goal uses your age, height, weight, formula choice, activity and selected goal. Calsa estimates daily energy needs, then adjusts for maintaining, losing or…
- Why didn't my weight go down this week?A single week's weigh-ins do not establish that your progress has stopped. Body weight varies, and Calsa shows a smoothed trend so one day's change does not dominate the…
- Do workouts add calories to my day?Activity does not add calories by default. If you choose Count activity from Health, Calsa shows the revised base goal before enabling it and adds half of the day's…
- Can I have different goals on different days?Yes. Open You → Goal and use Different goals by weekday to set the pattern you want. You can also mark today as a training day. Every day's goal must still meet the…
- Can I stop seeing numbers?Open You → Tracking and turn on Hide numbers. This hides calories, nutrients, remaining amounts, weight, BMI and body fat across the relevant views. Your saved data…
- Can I hide my weight or BMI?Open You → Tracking. Turn on Hide weight to hide your weight number. Weight forecasts and sharing are hidden with it. Turn off Show BMI if you only want to remove BMI.…
- Does Calsa track water?Yes. Use the water action in your day to add a glass, then correct the amount if it differs. Calsa also estimates fluids from the water content of logged foods and…
- How is my remaining food for the day calculated? The remainder is your goal for that diary day minus the calories you have saved for the day. If you explicitly enabled Health activity, the permitted activity amount is…
- How do I change my calorie and macro goals?Open You → Goal to change your calorie and nutrient goals. You can enter a custom goal without repeating the setup questionnaire, and this is available in every plan.…
- Will Calsa change my goal as my weight changes?Your goal changes only when you accept a change. A new weigh-in can update your trend and estimated energy needs, but it does not silently replace your calorie goal. For…
- I missed some meals. Will that change my goal or weekly report? You do not have to invent meals or delete the day. Mark it as incomplete so Calsa can distinguish missing information from a fully logged day. An incomplete day is…
- How do I maintain my weight or take a break from weight loss?Open You → Goal and choose maintenance. Calsa uses its adaptive energy estimate when available, or its formula estimate based on your weight trend. You review and save…
- How do I add, correct or remove a weigh-in?Use Log weight to add a weigh-in, or open All weigh-ins to correct or remove a manual entry. Imported weigh-ins allow changes to their date, weight and unit while…
- Why is my weight trend different from today's weight? The trend smooths your weigh-ins across time, so it usually differs from a single morning's measurement. Dots represent weigh-ins, while the line represents the trend.…
- What does the weight forecast mean, and why might it be missing? The forecast estimates what might happen if your recent weight trend continues. It uses at least 28 days of weight history, shows uncertainty and looks no more than 12…
- Where can I see my progress and change the charts?Open Progress from You or the This week card in your diary. Body, Food and Movement bring your weight, food and activity information together. Choose Week, Month or All…
- How are weekly averages and the meal-time chart calculated?Weekly averages use the week's recorded days. A day with no entries is not counted as zero. The meal-time chart places recorded meals by hour, with colour indicating…
- What do the nutrient ranges mean?Nutrient labels compare recorded period averages with your goals or reference ranges. Protein and fibre are compared with your own goals. Carbohydrate, fat and protein…
- Where do body fat and BMI come from?Body fat comes from a smart scale through Apple Health or Health Connect. Calsa does not ask you to enter it manually. Scale estimates are rough, so the trend across…
- How do I pause tracking without losing my history? You can stop logging for a while and keep your saved diary. Open You → Tracking to pause reminders, or manage individual reminders in You → Reminders. Calsa does not…
- How do I start again after a break?Start again with one entry, such as a meal or a weigh-in. Your saved history and previous goal remain, and you do not need to repeat the setup questionnaire because you…
